Ways to Use This Application:

 

There are many different ways to use this application, its flexibility provides a lot of room for creativity. Below is a short list of questions to help you decide how best to structure your project.


Q. Are you interested in building several sites with this basic structure and design?  Another way of asking the same question:  Would this site make a good blueprint / template with which to build other sites?


 A. If yes, consider making a blueprint site for you to reuse later.
You would begin by creating a blueprint site, then using the blueprint to stamp out a copy for this current client.

If no, just ‘create a website’ in the usual way.

Q. Is the objective to create a single site or several related sites?

A. If it is several related sites:

Option 1) A network of site with a parent / child relationship. Create a regular site then add a ‘network registration module’. Once published, this allows site visitors to register to create their own sites using this application or a white label version of it.

Option 2) A network of sites with a peer to peer relationship and the probability of shared content. Create a regular site and then share content by selecting a module from the ‘manage module windows’ accessible from the hope page. Then click ‘share’


Q. Is your objective to sell directory listings or web sites to your customers?

A. If yes. You can add the ‘network registration’ module at any time. This will allow site visitors to register to create their own site. The network registration settings window, will allow you to configure the customer experience, by white labeling their experience, customizing activation emails and welcome messages etc, by setting your own fee structure, and by specifying which templates or blueprints they may use.

 
Q.  Is the site going to use one of the system's existing templates?

A. If no. You have the option of designing a site yourself, rendering it to html / inline css,  then adding the 3 or 4 specific tags, you can upload it for use in your customer’s site. You can either upload an HTML template for use through-out the site, (from your dashboard click the ‘templates and site designs’ option).  Or upload an HTML template for each page of your site, (from the site editing page, click the ‘page manager / html’ option.
Q. Is the site going to be a corporate intranet with knowledge base, blog, document manager etc?

A. If yes. you can use the gallery to create all three feature sets.

Our form module is tremendously customizable and can be used to describe a blog post, a  knowledge base of document library. The benefit of using this feature rather than the blog module is that you can use the advanced search and filtering tools with your gallery and form.

The result is an impressively editable,  filterable and searchable data set.
