Creating a web site:

Four basic ways to create a web site with this application:

1) Use one of our easy site blueprints. (Often affords a fast and easy way to produce more complex sites, so its always a good idea to check if ythere is an existing blueprint that matches your needs. Site blueprints already include pages, place holder content and functional elements).

From your Dashboard page

Click 'Create a site' then during site set up when asked which form of site design template you would like to use.

Select 'Blueprint'

Select an industry or type of site from the drop down list, then select a site design from the gallery provided.

Useful Hint: if you like the functionality afforded by a blueprint, but want a different design. Then select the blueprint that is the closest match functionally, and then return to the dashboard click 'site templates and designs' and change the site design. The pages, content and functional elements will me retained, and the site design will be changed.

2) Use one of our site design templates. (An extensive range of site designs without pages, content and functional elements)

From your Dashboard page

Click 'Create a site' then during site set up when asked which form of site design template you would like to use.

Select 'Site Template'

From the gallery provided, select a design and color scheme.

Useful Hint: Templates designs are extremely customizable and flexible. What ever design you are seeking to achieve you can proably do it with one of our existing templates. Select the closest design structurally, and then from the site edit page, change the colors, backgrounds, borders and spacing to meet your needs.

3) Use your own html 

From your Dashboard page

Click 'Create a site' then during site set up when asked which form of site design template you would like to use.

Select 'HTML'

Copy and paste into the text editor window.

Upload any associated images and save.

Useful Hint: This may take some trial and error. You might find it useful to try out your newly modified html in a test page of an existing site, before applying it to a whole site. That will make it easier to see what it will look like with a variety of different content modules and media blocks.

4) Use a custom blueprint (if you plan on reusing the site design for other sites)

From your Dashboard page

Select 'Blueprints'

Click 'Create a Blueprint' then during site setup when asked which form of site design template you would like to use.

Pick one of the above options 1 - 3

Create your site blueprint.

When you want to use it, you will find it in on your dashboard page in your list of 'blueprints'

Click 'Create site from this blueprint'

Useful Hint: To publish this blueprint for other's to use, click 'publish'.
